OVERVIEW OF OUR VOLUNTEER TEAMS
Help raise awareness for Impact 100 by planning and attending gatherings and meeting potential new members. Recommend friends and colleagues who might be interested in joining as a member, host or co-host a membership drive event. Help follow up with member prospects. Support Member Operations with member data entry, analytics and reporting.
Support our annual grants process by joining or leading a Grant Review Committee. Assist with other grant support activities such as Nonprofit outreach and communications, grantee follow-up, grant software support and reporting, or general management of the grants process and annual planning.
Coordinate overall communications with members, prospective members and our broader community. Share your talents and assist with content development and editing, writing press releases, creating social media posts, share your expertise with graphic design, video editing, or photography.
Share your creative skills and help us plan and execute both virtual and in-person events throughout the year. Events include our Annual Meeting in November and The Big Reveal Membership Reception in the Spring as well as smaller member enrichment events throughout the year. Provide assistance with securing sponsorships to help underwrite our event costs.
Help our organization run efficiently. Offer accounting, legal, or technology support. Coordinate our volunteer effort by helping members find roles that match their interests and talents. You could also join the “One and Done Team” and assist throughout the year on one time tasks or projects such as stuffing envelopes or data entry.
Share Our Mission
Our most effective membership recruiting tool is the passion of our members when it comes to educating others about Impact 100 Jersey Coast, our mission and our community impact!
- Talk to your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and other local women you know about being a member and the impact we make.
- Bring a guest to our Annual Celebration and our Big Reveal. These signature events are filled with excitement for our mission and are the very best way to share the passion of who we are and what we do.
- Invite a guest to join you at a Membership Drive event.
- Encourage your favorite local nonprofit to apply for a grant. Invite them to attend our Nonprofit Info Sessions and submit a grant application by the deadline.
Grant Review Committees
“The Grant Review Committees are the heart of Impact!” – Rowena Crawford-Phillips, Co-President
Impact 100 members may choose to serve on Grant Review Committees (GRC) to review grant applications and participate in a thorough vetting process that leads to recommending finalists. Interested volunteers are asked to complete a GRC Interest Form in May and are notified of their GRC placement by early June.
The process of reviewing grant applications takes place between June and October, with one training session and three virtual meetings as well as site visits to selected applicants. Grant work culminates with finalist selections in November.
Grant Review Committee Info Session
A GRC Information Session is held every spring for members who are interested in participating. If you have any questions about participating, please contact us at grants@impact100jerseycoast.org. Stay tuned to our member emails throughout the year for more information and the committee participation process.
