To address the severe, immediate housing needs for homeless families in the county, Family Promise of Monmouth County (FPMC) formally merged with Lunch Break in 2022. FPMC exclusively serves families who are experiencing homelessness, eviction, living in uninhabitable or unstable housing, or in motels not paid for by an organization or state program. FPMC provides families in crisis with shelter, food, and other supportive services, including diversion and homeless prevention, over a three-to-nine-month period, depending on housing availability. This enables them to save up to 80 percent of their income to improve financial stability upon exiting the program.
